@@Hamburg08 although I sense a hint of condescension, but are you sure about that? (how do you think issues of copyright, or plagiarism emerged? I won't name anything but some groups often go to the Y2K concept because it’s the "trend" these days). Just an addition, I'm not saying that idols or groups who don't stick to their concepts are bad, in fact, through that, it shows how the group is really versatile, by trying different concepts apart from their original one. remember when aespa had alien-like aesthetics when they debuted with Black Mamba? this is like the perfect sound for them, i feel. props to them for sticking out like a sore thumb compared to other girl groups who do a girl crush-type kinda deal. i personally really like it!

i feel like this is becoming sm’s stamp by now! exo also had an alien theme that later turned into a galactic war theme, nct has a tech-punk e-boy theme, and reve has an eerie doll theme. i love these slightly unsettling undertones in their concepts. and the non-human aspect gives them so much room for exploration and creativity. sm might be a shitty company but they snatch the best artists and put them in the best concept groups for sure!

@@Fearless.cat1209 I went to the “Hallyu” exhibit in Boston USA 2 times when it came to the US this year and I even bought the book when I found out last year 2023, because I was afraid they would sell out this year. Anyway, at the time of printing aespa and Blackpink were the forerunners for GG’s and aespa was into Kwanga. Yes, they fresh 4th generation, but I say they held their own. They will be back in the states Feb 2025 so now I have got to find some ticket money 😂✌️

I think most of groups under SM are going that way. They remain true to their colors since debut. TVXQ with serious typical song, Suju with fun song & catchy song, EXO with dark music & intense dance, Red Velvet with Red concept & velvet concept, NCT with neo colors & machine-ish music with intense rapp & swag, RIIZE with addictive music & nostalgic MV, Aespa with iron music (but sometimes they released soft music too, as special released. not as an album title track).

There’s no specific reason, but this song collectively reminds me of SNSD's "Galaxy Supernova" and "Flower Power," as well as f(x)'s "Electric Shock" and "Red Light." Supernova is just SM-coded and definitely made for aespa✨
