Actually she often wears heels on stage when performing, just not super high pointy heels like those she was practicing walking in with Irene. When dancing on stage it makes it look better aesthetically if they are close to the same height. Sometimes the girls wear sneakers, sometimes dress shoes, but there are lifts in the sneakers of the shorter girls to look taller, so Amber has to do it too. The same with dress shoes. Hers aren't as high because she's average height & doesn't need as much to match the taller girls. When doing dress shoes, she prefers shoes or boots with a chunky heel because it's easier to dance without fear of twisting your ankle. So that's why people tend not to notice.
