I'm so happy Street Woman Fighter has introduced this song to the younger generation! Back then, I can't forget how many times I tried to imitate her dancing. She's the reigning Queen of dance. This song and "Hurricane Venus" will always be my top two favorites from BoA.

21년 전 안무인 피스비 사라 퀄만 봐도 얼마나 공들여서 활동을 했는지 알 수 있죠. 보아는 그때부터 해외 안무가 협업도 했었고 이래저래 케이팝의 현주소를 모조리 미리 체험해 본 케이스라고 봅니다.

I disagree with those that said BoA shouldnt have been one of the judges for STWF. Out of all the celebrities I know BoA is the most qualified to be a dance judge. Shes been in the game for years since a young age and has danced almost every genre. Shes amazing!

갑자기 생각 나서 찾아봤는데 14년 지난 후에 봐도 안 촌스러움. 저 머리스타일 의상 노래 진짜 그 당시에 사랑했는데. 오히려 그 당시엔 뮤비 촌스럽다고 생각했는데 다시 보니 진짜 세련된 뮤비. 저런 걸스힙합하는 솔로 여가수 나오면 팬 될거임. 존멋. 그리고 스우파에서 알게 된 젊은 애들 댓글보니 한때 보아 찐팬으로서 왠지 모를 뿌듯함이 생기네요ㅋ

This song was released in 2008, and she was 22 in this video. +) The album including this song ranked in Billboard main chart 200 for the first time as a Korean. ++) The dancer in red aka Justin Tiberlake's dancer worked with BoA's several songs in America and said BoA could make her living as a dancer. It means he respected BoA's dance skill.

이 노래 2008년에 나왔구요. 영상에 나오는 보아는 23살입니다.. ㄷㄷ +) 이노래를 타이틀로 한 보아 미국 1집 앨범은 한국인 최초로 빌보드 메인차트 200에 랭크되었습니다. ++) 저기 나온 빨간옷 입은 댄서는 저스틴 팀버레이크 댄서인데 보아랑 이곡을 비롯해 여러곡 미국에서 같이 작업하고 활동하면서 보아에게 춤으로만으로도 먹고살겠다며 보아의 춤 실력을 인정한 일화가 유명합니다. +++) 이 노래는 두가지 버전으로 뮤비가 나왔는데요. 이 영상은 차은택 감독이 찍은 버전이고, 또 다른 버전은 다이앤 마텔이라는 감독이 찍었는데 퀄리티가 사기 당한 수준이라 멘탈이 약하신 분은 안 보는걸 추천합니다... 그치만 안무는 마텔냔 뮤비버전이 좀더 좋은거같아요. (실제 미국 활동 할때도 차은택 감독 버전의 안무로 한걸 보니 사기당한걸 안 스엠에서 확실히 마텔 버전을 손절한것같네요)

마텔 버전 안보여서 속 시원하구요. 안무도 마텔 버전 그지같았음. 그 버전 안무가 더 좋았다는건 인정 못하겠어요. 이노래는 미샤 가브리엘이 안무 너무 잘 만들었고 보아가 힙하게 잘 췄습니다. 저는 개인적으로 이영상부터..스엠 공식영상 마음에 안들어요. 보아 커리어 한국사람들은 다 아는데 시작부분 왜 굳이.. 미국 외 서양인들 보라고 넣은 영상이면 더 이상해요. 그냥 깔끔하게 갔으면 좋았을걸..보아 잇츄업 유툽에서 검색했을때 다른분이 올린게 훨 좋아요.

ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 그렇네요. 당시에 EDM으로 메인 스트림이 넘어가던 시점에 주 장기인 힙합으로 미국 데뷔곡이 나와서 사람들이 시큰둥했던 기억 있어요. 노래만 좋으면 언제고 빛을 보는 것 같아요.

@@llllloooolllll8218 이 노랜 현지에서 반응 별로 좋은 편 아니었어요. 뒤에 나온 Energetic이 트렌드랑 맞아서 클럽 씬에서 반응이 왔죠. 한국에서도 Eat You Up은 노래도 좋고 안무도 좋지만 미국 진출용으로 그 시기에 낸 건 좀 애매하다는 의견이 많았음.

You can mention names of female best dancers but BOA will definitely EAT THEM UP. She's the EPITOME of QUEEN. She can slay any GENRE. I suggest you watch all her dance videos, execution, sharp, precise, powerful, great upper and lower body movement emphasis, fluidity, great isolation and so on. She's been my favorite Kpop Solo artist since early 2000. Although she started in 1999. Kahi (Former Prod 101 mentor and former After School member) has been one of her Back up dancer. Just imagine how powerful this lady is, they have to pick powerful dancers to balance her dance that usually dominate other dancers.

One thing about BoA is she always has male back up dancers and she's very very precise about her dancers when she filmed one shot two shot she was scanning the backup dancers in the film after and she picked up 4 of them not having there fingers in there pockets propley. Like how much attention she has to detail that's so little is actually amazing. She is the definition of K-pop in the form of a solo artist. The most successful female in kpop that no other can compete with when it comes to dancing. She also has timeless bops and has covers many different genres over the span of her 20 year career, and is still at the top of the game. She literally walked upside down with just support from dances like that shits crazy

I honestly don't understand why "Eat you up" didn't make it in the USA. The song is catchy, the video is cool, BoA's dancing abilities are awesome!! I think it's because BoA doesn't fit the Mainstream American Pop Music which consists of being overly sexy and provocative. BoA doesn't show any skin, she only shows dancing skills and TALENT. that's why she didnt make it in the USA. Most fans nowadays don't look at talent. they look at looks and sexyness. silly. BoA is a dance prodigy and she should have deserved to be popular in USA and all around the world.

Probably due to poor promotion and the fact that this version of the video was not the one that was released here. The one they released in the US had no dancing, had a cheesy, weird vampire theme and all I remember from it is a poorly CGI'd building and BoA just sitting there and singing to the camera. If THIS version had been released, and if SM had promoted better, I think it would have gotten more attention. In fact, I had a classmate in high school that I showed this video to when it came out (back when I just had my tiny little iPod nano screen to play it on😭😂) and he loved it

And I even didn't know why b** is known around the world (including US & my country) except I saw a group dancers and I couldn't enjoy the song itself. And when I asked my 8 yrs student why she like b**, she said "Bcoz they're famous & very good in dancing" Me: Mmmmmmh... 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 Coz I enjoy the real singer who can sing & dance well in LIVE Performance, but not lipsync...

잇츄업 보아 진짜 멋있어... 어릴때 이 뮤비 엄청 돌려본 기억남. 노래도 좋고 춤도 개잘춰서 충격적이었음. 이거말고 보아 얼빡 나오눈 뮤비도 마니 봤고. 보아 후로 이런 노래에 이런 춤 추는 여솔로 못봤음
