This song is important in South Korea, many people use this song for protesting we know it doesn’t have hundred millions of views like K-pop music videos now but this was posted in 2011 even though the song released in 2007 before many people would just listened it to the radio but social media wasn’t really a thing but now, Girls Generation are still called the legend of girl bands

I think SM posted this video waaaay before 2011, but on other now-gone channel that was related to the company, then SMTown was created and those videos were reposted there and subsequently deleted from that old channel, bummer move btw cause they messed up the release dates and all of their MVs from previous eras collided with The Boys era, ik is something ridiculous but it bugs me 🙄

but there will always be another nations girl group, and idky but it makes me wanna cry happy tears knowing that wondergirls started the nations girl group title and idk but it feels so amazing knowing that that title will continue to be passed down the generations this one being Twice, and its just so nice to know that no matter the age gap and year difference between groups there will always be a connection between them that not even time can erease. This generation inspired this current generation and I find that so amazing to hear knowing that these idols made it possible for idols to really make it to the US and stay there with a stronger presence than ever and its just amazing knowing that those same idols probably watched the same video we are watching now, its amazing to think about.

I was 12 years old when this was released. Im now 25 and working in a corporate company and I feel so old listening to this but it never failed to give me goosebumps. SNSD was my first kpop fav group and followed by T-ara back then. I do think what differentiates SNSD from most groups before or now, male or female, is that they managed to highlight every single members and almost all kpop fans can identify the members straight away individually. Every members have a super solid strong fanbase and they are remembered both as a group and individually till date. Im forever grateful to be a SONE.

Sakura Music It has sadly always been a lot about looks... You couldn’t be an idol and still can’t if you didn’t meet the beauty standard. There is a reason why you never see overweight people or people with a very disproportionate face. The reason that the quality of the music video isn’t the best is because this was in 2007 and technology has become a lot better. 2007 was 13 years ago... But I do agree that this is Kpop’s national anthem.

@@crazyzombie3249 well i apologise if it felt that way to you. what i meant, however, was simply that girl's generation was and will always be one of the girl groups that so many idols look up to. a lot of idols nowadays (and im saying this as a 3rd and 4th gen girl group stan) have always said that girls generation was one of the reasons that they got into the industry,, because they wanted to be like them. girl's generation paved the way for so many new idols because girl groups weren't as popular before. and in an industry where women weren't given as many chances to prove their talents, girl's generation did a great job in proving themselves and helping so many others in realising their dream. i'm sorry if it felt 'rude' to you, it's just the truth.

now i understand why a lot of k-pop stans miss 2nd gen. i didn’t realize how it’s very lax and calming. i like how in 2nd gen, what’s an important factor is having great vocals , a catchy choreography, and having personality in the song. now i feel like for 4th gen, what’s more important is making a first impression as basically trying to out sing or out dance their competition
