I was going out to drink with friends yesterday in Seoul, and then this song came up. At the very first beat, we were so suprised watching EVERYBODY, mostly male in their 30s, shout out every words to this song and dance to it. This is what we call Korean's treasure, what they're proud of.

The age from 25 - 30 would have been in high school/secondary school when this song came out. All the kpop songs from 2006 - 2010 all that generation of people that listened to the songs from then are now in the late 20's/ early 30's.

Mindblowing fact: This is actually NOT their original song. This is just a revival. This is an old song originally sung by *Lee Seung Chul* in the year 1989, titled "Girls' Generation". Coincidentally, it is the year when most of SNSD's members were born (1989). That original song is actually where they got their group name "Girls' Generation" and that is the reason if ever you're wondering why in this case, the artist and song name is the same (Title: Girls' Generation By: Girls' Generation) You're welcome.

Watching this after Jessica has left. Literally one of the most saddest things i have ever experienced. This was the group that got me into kpop, and to see them go so far makes me so proud. Sadly Jessica left. But looking at the positives, she left her mark. Truly amazing.

Hyoyeon deserves more than 1 single per year. Yuri dreams to become top star. Give her already comeback. Sunny is powerful singer and deserves her solo debut. We need OH!GG's comeback. Honoka kousaka Actually they're not really that close before but they do talk around each other. Jessica mentioned before that Taeyeon is the only member she isn't that close with because their schedules keeps on clashing during their debut days so they didn't have enough time to talk/hang out with each other.

I think SME knows that TaengSic is has the most best vocal and harmony so they would do something right? And what if Sica just said that she's just isn't that close to Tae because the company won't let her to tell the truth? That they had a fight? Sones will be in mess. Girls' Generation is one of Girls' Generation's most underrated songs, even within the fandom. This is a masterpiece, specially that latter part with Taeyeon and Jessica. Very few groups out there have a duo that can do something like that.

There's no denying the songwriters behind the monolithic girl group Girls' Generation have always been amazingly talented. I know that some of the girls have partaken in songwriting but I don't know much about the details. But their entire career has been hit after hit after hit...and they're still at it! They have quite the entertainment machine. SM better than YG? Both companies are very different in style.

Yuri actually did talk to fans about releasing an album filled with the songs the girls themselves composed, not too long ago. Of course, she added that that will take a long time, but also asked fans to wait patiently for that day.

They should do one more album with Sica in the group, then disband. Of course doing collabs with one another here and there, but it's inevitable that they are going to launch separate from here on out (Tiffany already launched a solo album). The only group that should stay within them is TTS. They need their sister back. Groups like MAMAMOO and TWICE are taking over because Korean K-POP fans cater to the younger groups. And SNSD aren't girls anymore.They still are one of the biggest groups, but without the Ice Princess, it will always feel like something's missing.

Well, they're older. Adults. Even though being part of GG is something that they love, it's a tiresome job and they probably just want to get on with their lives. Find someone to love and have a family with. GG will always be the best female Kpop group for all of us SONES, but you know, everything comes to an end. It's been 9 years. You'd be "doing it just for the sake of doing it" as well. ° -°)

Anyone else cry any time they listen to any song from their first album? I remember listening to this album back in high school and thinking how great these girls were and how big they could be. Little did I know that they would go on to take the world by storm and quite literally heralding a wave of kpop and female nugu's. This album is the start of humble beginnings and for fucks sake I'm a 26 year old man bawling up any time I listen to this album just cause I'm SO proud to be a SONE and SOOO proud of our girls. I still remember when I first watched this MV back then, I felt Jessica was the most beautiful member, Tiffany was the one caught my eyes the most, I liked Sooyoung because she played drum in the MV.. Even until now, no other girl groups can do it like SNSD. SNSD is simply a legend!!!

Feeling so down after the news that our Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Seohyun won't be renewing their contracts. These times when they were so young and happy together, it makes me so nostalgic but happy to remember just how far they've come. They broke barriers and made a true Girls Generation. No one can ever take that away from them. They brought upon their on era of domination in K-POP that will be ingrained in History forever. Whether as 9 members, 8 members, 5 members; SNSD Today, SNSD Tomorrow, SNSD Forever will always be our Girls' Generation and I wish all 9 members happiness in success in all that they do! slanis i agree with this but lately with the latest songs, it seems like the main and lead has change a bit right. it seems to me tiffany has taken jessica's position. she got many lines nowadays. i really miss jessica's voices adlib with taeyeon like this song and jess high notes. and RDR too. they divide the lines fairly.

TendouJuka Tiffany does get a lot of more lines lately but that doesn't mean she got Jessica's position. :) Jessica is main because of her unique voice and her vocal technique. Jessica's technique is one of the best in SNSD (some critics say that although Taeyeon has better and stronger vocal, that Jessica's technique in some parts is better than Taeyeon's). So, I don't think Jessica got replaced. Even during Mr Mr we can hear when the three of them sing the high notes at the end - Tiffany struggles, while Jessica and Taeyeon just deliver. :)
