Well, Hyo is my favorite SNSD member but sometimes she will get a song that might not do as well as previous ones (meaning it doesn't resonate with listeners), which might be the case with this one (I love it though). Secondly, I mean she had some success with her previous releases but SM still underuses her during group promotions anyway. I am just happy that she gets to do what she enjoys and consistently releasing music, but her days with SM are numbered.

I'm totally in love with Punk Right Now but I wish people would stop complaining about "fans should support them all equally!!" I mean, SNSD members' solo releases are all so different, some (Hyoyeon mostly) might even stray from the usual SNSD sound SONES are used to, if there's less attention compared to SNSD usual releases it's most likely becoz SONES don't all have the same taste in music. I'm positive every SONE out there is keeping up with SNSD's solo releases, but maybe it doesn't have a great amount of views becoz SONES that don't like the song at first listen, aren't interested in giving PRN repeating views. Also casual Kpop fans don't help with the views much becoz Hyoyeon is not yet an established artist where most Kpop fan is interested in what she releases, unlike Lil' Touch where it even appealed to the taste of even casual Kpop fans and not just SONES, that's why the views increased rapidly.

I don’t even like some songs from SJ and other SM groups, but I still show support by listening and watching their music video a few times. I don’t even like this song, but why do I keep coming back? Not even because of the comments, but because we’re an SM family. What do families do? Support one another even if we aren’t a fan of their music or talents. I guess the definition “loyalty” differs per person. Or maybe because each fandom definition of “fan” is different. Most of my international fandom and I view fandom and loyalty in this case as family members supporting one another through thick and thin and good music and not that good music. I don’t know how your fandom works but it seems to me that everyone value of loyalty and what’s a fan is different for the most part. Btw I’m not trying to compare fandom. I’m just giving an example that fandoms value things and view things differently. Not ever fandom is the same and I usually just watch the mv and not comment or read the comments. Her views are so low so I decided to read the comments that’s all.

Support comes in different shapes and forms. As you may know, most SONES are older (say SNSD hooked a crowd of 14-25 year olds, fast forward 10 years later and assuming they're still around, they're 24-35; a demographic which generally has disposable income) meaning they might just buy the single through iTunes or what ever digital music platform they buy music on (I bought the single first thing in the morning the day of release). Personally, I treat charts as to who's trending right now. With SNSD being one of (if not the most) monumentally influential KGG's, at this point in their career it's not about popularity/charting, it's about the legacy they want to create as performing artists. Also, purchasing the single definitely makes sure they get paid.
