Not going to lie. Out of everyone in SNSD I did NOT expect to see the growth of Hyoyeon like this. It’s literally amazing to see someone who went from having 1 line and some ooohs to now slaying a solo concept effortlessly. I am amazed at the resilience and strength. She literally has worked so hard for this and we should all be eating this up. Literally the talent. The dance. The visual. I will forever keep rooting for Hyo. Underdog of SNSD.

@@MaryamQasi she didn’t really STICK OUT in SNSD girls gen like Tiffany Jessica Taeyeon or anyone else really and was strictly seen as a “dancer” not vocalist but now look at her stomping her heels and singing her heart out! Yes, that was the best solo song of the year for me. They really made something incredible. I have to say, as I have arachnophobia I never watch the video... On Spotify it has 14M plays, it's extremely rare that a kpop song that has an MV gets more plays on Spotify than on KZbin.

The fact that she's the next marketable SNSD member next to Taeyeon really fascinates me. I knew it's always going to be the main vocalist and the main dancer who will survive as a solo artist. I'm just so proud that Hyoyeon now gets her deserve spotlight after being the SNSD member with the least screen time and lines.

All snsd members are actually marketable. I think Tiffany and Seohyun is equally marketable. But when they were starting as a soloist, it was quite competitive. There's Sunmi, Hyolyn, IU, Ailee and new girl groups were rising at that time too. Despite that, Hyoyeon and Taeyeon were the most consistent to release music. And you can see the result of consistency through both. Tiffany did well too, but she's focusing on acting. So is Seohyun. I'm still hoping for Seohyun's comeback. She wrote all of the song on her first mini album except for the title. I'd say that's marketable. I bought the album myself after hearing she wrote all songs.

all of them can survive as solo singers but it's just that others are more into something else, mostly acting, and obviously like/thrive there more. Yoona and Seohyun in particular being the two of the most popular/recognizable and beloved actresses with continuous successful projects is not something you'll see in every group (I don't think there's a group that has more than 1 gp-popular actor), especially in a group that is over a decade old like them. tbh I think these two are the most loved by the general public after Taeyeon (ofc), considering korea loves their actors more than idols

HYOYEON is the epitome of what a music icon is. She can perfectly adapt to any concept and dominate the stage with her clean and precise movements. Her unique color of voice and her impressive facial expressions added to that penetrating and charming gaze make her an audiovisual spectacle. I congratulate HYO on her comeback, I hope this first mini album is a success and that SM gives her more and better promotions, she deserves it.

Hate to break it to u, there wont b ANY promotions for this. This track is released under her DJ name DJ hyo. This is her edm comeback and not a regular idol comeback. If this was idol comeback u would see it under her full name Hyo Yeon. Hyo is her dj name so no promotions.

Seriously, this release made Hyoyeon undeniable as a solo artist imo. Shame that too many people are sleeping on it due to the lack of "front artist" marketing by SM(which they gave to Dessert due to the collab). Still, the album is too tier and Hyo is so unique in style
