NCT, otherwise known as Neo Culture Technology is a group with a limitless amount of members, the intention is to spread their music worldwide and divide into sub-units based in various cities globally. They're basically a very large group with multiple, different units within the large group. As of presently, NCT has 18 members in total and 3 units. *The 18 members, according to age order are: Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Kun, Doyoung, Ten, Jaehyun, Winwin, Jungwoo, Lucas, Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung.* SM has introduced three Chinese rookies recently, and they are presumed to debut under NCT China: *Xiaojun, Hendery, and Yangyang.* Taeyong is the official leader of NCT 127, and is technically the leader of NCT overall. *NCT U:* U standing for United. The unit is a _rotational_ unit meaning that every and any comeback they may have, the lineup and concept will never be the same as the previous comeback as shown through their songs such as The 7th Sense, Without You, Timeless, Boss, Baby Don't Stop and Yestoday. They choose the new lineup every comeback depending on which members out of 18 suit the song and concept best. Any member of NCT can participate in the lineup of NCT U. While NCT 127 did have Johnny, Doyoung, and Jungwoo join the lineup during Limitless and Regular, they should be the only additions to the lineup as of now. Otherwise, the 10 members of 127 you see will always remain the same every come back-unless there are some circumstances where a member can't promote with the comeback, Winwin isn't promoting Simon Says due to NCT China preparations. There isn't much to explain about 127, it's very self-explanatory as to how they work and what they are. NCT 127 is a Seoul-based unit, they can be viewed as the "main" unit SM is promoting as they work as a normal, regular group similar to how BTS, EXO, Seventeen, etc. are all normal groups. As there are only three units of NCT presently, 127 are usually the unit that's promoting overseas and internationally as well as Korea, they're the unit that's invited and nominated for award shows as well as receiving any awards during the end of the year shows, etc. that's NCT 127. *NCT 127 members, according to age order: Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Winwin, Jungwoo, Mark, and Haechan* *NCT DREAM:* NCT Dream is the youth unit of NCT. They're a unit with a "graduation system" meaning that when a member turns into an adult in Korean age, they will "graduate" and leave the Dream unit, very similar to how high school is like with their graduation system. The Dream team consists of 7 teenagers, ranging around 16-18 with Mark being the leader and oldest. The Dream team is very self-explanatory as well, they are unfortunately not a fixed unit but they aren't rotational either. Dream's lineup is very consistent and they remain the same until a member(s) turn into an adult and leave the unit. Dream debuted with their age range being 14-16, it's now 16-18. Mark, the oldest was born in 1999 while Jisung, the youngest was born in '02. Two members of Dream are also members of 127, Mark and Haechan. Mark is known to be a pro debuter as he's in all three units of NCT. Dream's latest comeback, "We Go Up." is, unfortunately, Mark's last comeback as he's 20 in Korea and no longer a teenager. When a member "graduates" from the dream unit, supposedly new members who are teenagers debuts in NCT Dream to continue the unit in their place as according to the system, every original Dream member will graduate at some point, but SM has yet to introduce any possible future members, other than the three Chinese rookies. *NCT Dream members, age order: Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, Jisung. Jisung is 16 internationally and the youngest of NCT overall. Mark is technically the leader of Dream, but his status is uncertain as he's graduated.* *NCT WAYV:* WayV, otherwise known as NCT China is the Chinese unit, with full intention to break into the Chinese local music industry, as well as globally. For clarification, as many are confused, they *are* an NCT unit and will have the ability to promote with the rest of NCT during any future activities despite not having NCT within their name. Do understand the name is not SM's fault as they are being rather cautious due to *political complications* between South Korea and China that is much bigger than just music. SM cannot add NCT to WayV's name as long as the Chinese ban against South Korea is active, simply because NCT is a Korean brand/group. The ban has slowly been warming up but there are still restrictions, therefore, it hasn't been lifted fully. SM announced on December 31, 2018 that WayV will be debuting in January and will have activities in China throughout 2019. WayV is under LABEL V, a Chinese label that is collaborating with SM's production meaning that WayV is still under SM but their Chinese label will primarily be handling any promotions and activities in China. It's very similar as to how when NCT 127 is in Japan, AVEX is handling them and how Victoria from f(x) and EXO's Lay have a Chinese label handling them while they are in China and so forth. *The WAYV lineup consists of Kun, Ten, Winwin, Lucas, Xiaojun, Hendery, and YangYang. Kun is rumored to be the leader.* Renjun and Chenle will not be joining for now. Again, this was very long but I hope this breakdown of NCT helps you understand them a little bit better if you're ever going to read this! Hopefully, other people who are interested in NCT but don't understand it completely may read this as well.

Haka- A war dance/chant used by the Maori, the native people of my country New Zealand, its purpose was to intimidate or scare the enemy. Although nowadays its used in a variety of special occasions such as in sports events, funerals, weddings etc. Amazing to see how far Maori culture has stretched to internationally. Thank you NCT. ❤
