Sadly they don't promote internationally but it's great to see them do well in Korea I hope they become more popular in Japan as well. When we get a joint nct album i think that will bring some of the dormant nctzens to pay attention to the wishes too

I loved this concept cuz it suits them so much. The cinematography of the MV was impeccable. The chorus was catchy and the vocals were euphonious. The last scene where he dribbles then shoots the ball while reaching towards the basket was so beautifully captured. They have a distinct sound of their own, and I'm here for it.

if you think about it this song is categorized in that 'no bridge 4~5th gen kpop song' that most people are mad about BUT NO THIS DOESN'T FEEL LIKE ONE! the full chorus, intro, outro, post chorus, members serving VOCALS AND RAPS, this song is absolutely a solid one. i just realized that this song has no bridge on my 3rd listen. props to everyone who worked on this song!

They are not popular globally because of the concept they use, there is not a single boygroup that is popular globally using the bright, pure, fairy concept like Wish is currently using. Sorry if I mentioned other groups here, but I was just giving an example, Enhypen's latest comeback even got lower results than their previous comebacks, one of the reason is because XOXO uses a rather cute, bright and such concept, their fandom on twt even had to call for people to make sad stories and then upload them on tt so that fans there would immediately stream the song. Wish quickly became popular in Korea because this is the concept that people there like from boygroups, that's why tws also quickly became popular in Korea but not globally.

@@sophiathaoleAlmost all rookie boygroups if they don't use ads will get the views like Wish's MV. You can see the likes for Songbird MV, they managed to get more than 300K likes in less than a month but only got 10M views, while i can name other 5th gen boygroups who managed to get more than 20M views but couldn't even get 200k likes

Lol actually among all the units, currently Wish is the one with the best promotion, we are even worried because they almost never rest. We as nct fans almost never complain about promotions except asking SM to send them to radio in Korea, because they are always on Japanese radio.

@@thisiconicmove in terms of promotion i dont think sm ent gave them the best, they do more fansigns than promotion. they dont go to korean radio, even as a rookie they dont come to show like it's live. i also think sment dont solve the core problem: ppl dont see nct wish as a rookie, they see it as another nct unit, for ppl who like jpop meanwhile they are actually a kr-jpn based group, and they do a lot of promotion in kr :(

@@dearsohee Do you know why they have so many fansigns? Because that's the only way to win album points. They can't win with digital. At the year-end awards, when NCT Wish win ROTY, it's a confirmation that they're THE BEST ROOKIE. The core problem is solved like that.

@@dearsoheeThe fastest way to get known to the public is to come to festivals event, and that's what SM did to NCT Wish. They are currently the SM artist who has promoted the most at festival events, maybe you don't know that. 70% of their purpose of flying back and forth between Korea and Japan is to attend festivals. While the previous NCT units when they were newcomers often promoted on the radio, it wasn't very effective for their popularity, unless they were DJ (when Jaehyun & Johnny became NCT night night's DJ, their popularity increased). The It's live is mostly only watched by fans of the group in question, that's why I said that festivals are the fastest and most effective way to increase popularity (I'm not saying they don't need to go to It's Live). You don't know how much NCT Wish's popularity rose when they appeared at a festival in Japan (Music Core in Japan) & SBS Gayo Summer and covered their seniors' songs.

@@dearsoheeAnd the fansign thing, I don't know what SM's goal is in doing that for 3 months other than to make a lot of money, but the advantage that Wish gets is that they get a lot of points for tracking to get the title of "Rookie Of The Year" because Wish's digital point is low when compared to rookies from other big agencies. But yeah I agree with SM's mess in arranging the schedule for fansign. My hope for next year, every time Wish makes a comeback, the fansign will only last for a month, Riku is often @tt4cked by antis just because of that thing 😮‍💨
