Rookie got hated but it won many time and got 9 win. RBB got hated but doing good in Billboard. Zimzalabim also got hated too but this songs broke a record of albums at iTunes US & Billboard. That's why if you hated too long much time, many love and support will come to it.

Rookie and RBB slandered by views but remains the most interesting,experimental music from Red Velvet. Never got bored of both. Edit: RV finally came back with Zimzalabim and now she is joining the chat. Rookie,RBB and Zimzalabim are the holy trinity of most interesting, experimental music of RV.

@Loyal Reveluvs Freaking love their red concept songs. Probably my favorite ones tbh. Groups, artists and idols that I like the most are usually those who get the most intricate music production (besides the quality of the singing and rap parts) and Russian Roulette, Power Up, Rookie, Sappy (etc.) are soooo rich in sounds, elements, harmonizations, chords, it's refreshing to listen to them. SM might be a trash company in terms of idol management (*cough*EXO&NCT*cough*) but IMO they're the company that experiments the most in terms of music production in the K-Pop industry (and most of the time, it works).

I think people tend to say that rookie is not the best song because the song is UNIQUE to their ear. The producer of Rookie is a foreigner so it tends to put western and korean style in one song. When you listen to it, you can feel a korean and a touch of western on it. We are well advised that Red Velvet is such a unique group, they don't stay on the same concept(what I mean concept is the song itself not the music video). When you listen carefully to the song you will learn how amazing it is regardless of your preferrence. The vocal line uses a technique which cannot be done easily(even tho it's not a high note refer to Seulgi and Wendy's part) Joy's technique on her 2nd part deserves an applause it's good. Both Irene and Yeri proves that they can sing(all of us can sing but what I mean is that sing like an idol) Red Velvet is not Red Velvet when they'll show same concepts(song concepts) everytime. They're named as a group of weird and unpredictable concepts. So I salute RV stans who love them even tho they're so unpredictable. You truly are wonderful. To those who hate or doesn't like the song, listen to it more and you will like it if not then stop listening and commenting bad things you're wasting YOUR time and you're degrading the Red Velvet members. Well, let us support Red Velvet no matter what. Remember how SM and RV prepared the album and songs for us. They did their best and no one is to blame. I'm so excited for the fandom name, I'm excited for RV! Even tho they're not reaching hundreds of views on their MV's for they're still the best in this Era. Pure talents it is!

Jandi Hwang I think it's annoying because they not only repeat "lookie" over and over which is mispronounced and on top of that with that super obnoxious voice. Has nothing to do with the producer and it's also not unique what so ever i can name a few songs that sound pretty similar. Same thing with 'Pick me Up' by Produce 101 it's annoying as hell. And yes i can criticize the song it's my opinion and i'm not insulting anyone.

Take SM producers, Charli Taft, Obi Klein, Orphée Noah ext...Such talented producers/singers !! They took Kpop at another level with jazz, R'n'B and funk influences in their productions! I'm so thankful for what they did for my favorite artists like Red Velvet (thanks to The Colleagues too) and LOONA. SM STATION got also several numbers of good songs that broke the border between the countries, showing that GOOD MUSIC is the GOOD FACTOR to break the borders between countries. "Dumb Dumb" is a smart Kpop song too. I suggest you LOONA's "Sweet Crazy Love". It's very interesting. (Produced by the talented Charli Taft). I love the "Sappy" bridge so much too.

I remember how many people talked shit about I Got The Boy, it was the most disliked MV on SNSD at that moment. And turned out the most liked SNSD song and one of the most successful release of SNSD. Well, i love SM's brave, weird and interesting choices for their girl groups. They really stands out.

I got a boy though was disliked because it's 3 songs in one that had no connection to each other. Rookie is disliked right now because it's new so they might need to listen to it more to get used to it.

What's there to listen to...? I liked I Gotta Boy the first time I heard it, Rookie is just kind of "meh". But no worries, it'll be popular just because Red Velvet has a lot of fans. I just hate it when "blah" songs like this win over good songs, that's really frustrating.

How about something that suits your full bass sound system? we have Dumb Dumb. or something that can accompany you through rainy days? we have One of These Nights. Are you 90's generation and want to feel nostalgic with nintendo's 8-bit music? we have Russian Roulette. or you need something that you would dance for like crazy with catchy parts? we have Rookie.

tbh this song is one I didn't like at the start,but now I do,the only way to understand the hate is to have had that hate,also A.way too repetitive chorus that isn't sung B.too fast paced and C.everybody has their own opinions
