I knew Super Junior through Sorry Sorry and honestly, it was all good pop but not exactly my cup of tea. I admit I was just infatuated by the members then because they were (still are) so damn funny in variety shows; music-wise, I wasn't that sold yet. I followed a lot of other groups and I thought I'd only be a passing Suju fan but here I am, 9 years later and still an ELF ㅡ this time because of both their personalities and the music. Suju may not be at the peak of their careers anymore but damn did they keep exceeding my expectations in their music. They broke out of the usual Korean pop and continuously experimented AND made it work. This album is a clear manifestation of that. Ryeowook definitely killed this one. Not only did it showcase his royal vocals, it showed his diversity in using it to his advantage. This song is just one of the seven thoughtfully-picked, handled-with-care tracks from the album and it set such a high bar of quality music for me. Every artist/group is bound to have their time on top but not everyone can consistently offer track after track of self-evident improvement. Listen to Ryeowook and Suju's entire discography and you'll know what I mean :) I know I'm following the right vocalists and the right group.
