Guys did you know Sherlock was one of the turning points of Kpop choreography..? In Korea, Sherlock choreo is known as a choreo that opened the door of 3rd gen choreo. We usually say shinee opened the door and exo growl initiated 3rd gen. If you knew kpop in 2nd era you will already know this well but before Sherlock and other 3rd gen songs were released, kpop choreo was not that dynamic, creative, hard, and also tired... It was the first choreo that members move from one edge to the other edge, the formation changing greatly and only one person dancing in each part, using shadows, and even two songs are combined in Sherlock. And more surprisingly, there are some other SHINee's songs that pioneered key elements of kpop. Really it is not an overstatement that SHINee is one of the best groups that made present kpop industry exist. +)Thanks for many likes and I corrected some words for leaving no misunderstanding. This is just the common thought in Korea. ++)I recommend Sherlock stage version than MV. Try if you did not yet!

Totally agree. Shinee were trailblazers, and, in their 13th year they still are. As a group or individually, the are simply unique. No one else comes close.

This is a complete overstatement... That a lot of groups before that did this and better, the difference Shinee it's under a company that promotes better that why you have the illusion they were the first and even in the same company other groups release choreography with the elements you describe, they were not the first but the one who may turn those elements more popular PS. He had been at the bridge of suicide since before he started the company. He said it himself many times, that the only reason he was alive was for his fans and his team. Sometimes "help" doesn't work. At the end of the day, he is in a better place (we like to think) and the world remembers his for how great of a person he was, he's never going to be Truly gone

The first SHINee song I listened to...this got me into kpop. They’re all so talented and it feels so empty now that Jonghyun is gone...his unique voice and passion will never be forgotten. It makes me grateful to live in the 21st century because we can come back here and watch him living to the fullest, enjoying life. He can still live on through the mv, tv shows, fancams. I’m grateful for that. Thank you jonghyun for everything. We love you💙

Yeah but I mean look at this choreography,everything about this choreo is amazing. EXO is great but I feel like this is better honestly xD SHINee definitely deserved that mama award for best dance male group. Like seriously on every stage/performance there is no member who's energy is low. Even Onew who's neck was hurting during Everybody promotions still danced fully pretending it wasnt hurting him. Thats why I like SHINee. All of them seriously improved over the years, I can imagine them lasting for a long time like SHINHWA with the way they support each other is no joke. I just wished SM treated them better =_= Its like Jonghyun helps composed for many groups like EXO yet he doesnt get recognized for it

Dorothy Bonaparte EXO has great dancing but SHINee beats them by a lot. ALL of SHINee can dance really well, and not saying all of EXO can't, but SHINee's choreo is more... complex? They are also quite fun, and I can see they put a lot of time into it. To me, SHINee has the best dancing in SM.

+Andrea Hyung i think they're both PHENOMENAL, but just keep in mind that it's more difficult to get 9 (previously TWELVE) people to dance perfectly in sync compared to only 5 people. also, some of exo's choreographies are very complex and intricate as well (growl and love me right especially), but exo and shinee have completely different dancing styles too so it's a bit useless to compare them anyway. the best dancing in sm is sm the performance tho, without a doubt in my mind. eunhyuk and donghae from sj, yunho from dbsk, kai and lay from exo and minho and taemin from shinee.

Fkfdhfsdh Abdasjdas Oh yes, the members does count as well.Though EXO has been going at it for three years now, whilst SHINee is.... 8 years... now? I'm not totally sure. But, I'm not really talking about sync, because yeah, that's important, but I am talking about the choreography itself. EXO has hard songs to dance to, like MAMA (I mean, even Jongin complained about that one) and EXO has good vocals as well. I think each SM group is good at a lot of stuff, but each group has their own.... asset that makes them shine through and different from the other groups. SHINee's would be dancing, I would say. It's all personal preference, of course, but I do think EXO has talent in dancing, but it seems some dances aren't as hard as others (cpugh wolf wough) and the same applies to SHINee, of course. No group is perfect. I also understand that I have begun to ramble. That's what a person gets for getting a keyboard and a unknown character limit. How long does this thing go?

+Fkfdhfsdh Abdasjdas Being a dancer myself, i think it is actually harder to dance in sync if there are only a few dancers because mistakes are more obvious. But we can never deny the intricate dance steps EXO have. They're both great! Shawol & Exo-L fighting!
