The thing that I love with Super Junior is they are the only group where they had a member who is not the typical image you need for a group, I'm pointing at Shindong. He broke the norm and give inspiration to guys like us who are not physically fitted, he showed us that even if you're chonky you can still dance and perform.

agreed! Sorry Sorry era was so great too because it was such a shift from their previous look and sound- I mean before that we had Twins and Don't Don. The teaser dropped for Sorry Sorry and we absolutely, collectively and completely lost our gd minds ahahaha! The sleek "grown up" styling, the contemporary autotune with the SUPER catchy hook, the black and white aesthetics? OOF.

you know, coming back here after all these years (and learning about heechul's leg still giving him a lot of pain), knowing back then me and my fellow elf's criticised his performance here makes me regret it because i broke my ankle years ago and it still gives me pains (also i wasn't aware back then that his leg was basically shattered before i got into them so i assumed naturally he was just the "lazy member"). knowing he has all those iron rods in his leg still makes me feel bad about badmouthing him. he had to be changed into a sub-rapper and vocalist rather than a dancer, and i know he loved dancing. he didn't even want to take part in some of their comebacks due to his leg because he thought he would bring the group down. mad respect for him. can't be easy these days now that he's even older. apologies on my behalf, too. he didn't give up.
