@ It depends of your mother tongue. I'm french, and the sound [ʃ], which is very similar with some sounds that I heard in mandarin, is not consider to be "pretty". Plus C-pop has a smaller community, and people who listen K-pop are more used at korean. And there is less people who can translate mandarin and create fan content. And as C-pop is linked with the Chinese government, some people don't want to get involved in C-pop for ideological reasons.
