I don't know where you got your information from, but Irene Kim is not "nowhere on the map compared to amber." She was listed in Forbes Asia 30 Under 30, was named as Elle Korea's Style Influencer of the Year, made the cover of magazine's in several countries, is partnered with several major brands, and the list goes on and on.

You ever wonder how many views SM loses on its KZbin videos by not having English subs? I mean I am 100% aware that this is K-Pop and they don’t have to speak English, but at the same time not having English subs on a video will mean ppl will go to other channels to watch it instead, making SM lose views and therefore, money.

Yup. I notice people are interested, then when they don't see subs, they stop clicking in. Amber's first ep here has over 100k views, then they start to decrease as more fans can't find eng subs. Amber on her own youtube channel gets way more views cause she speaks in English and includes Korean subs for her fans. She also announces each new episode, unlike SM who seems to think announcing one ep is enough (although they didn't even announce this on their instagram or twitter cause there seems to be an eternal hate boner for their own groups in that company and an inability to properly promote anything for just about any of their artists...)

Because Amber is a woman, but she dresses tomboyish & comfortable, has visible tattoos, and (gasp!) hugs & touches guy & girl friends casually. To Korean society it's ok if a girl or woman dresses casual or sporty SOMETIMES, but any tattoos must be hidden by clothes & she must make it clear that she's a woman with her hairstyle, and wear skirts & shorts as short as underwear to show her legs, & also do what she can to emphasize her breasts if she is small on top like Amber & many other slim women. If she doesn't she is acting like a guy, & "must be lesbian or secretly trans". So it's common for women like her to be subjected to constant jokes or outright hate because of it. But it's ok for the guy singers to be "pretty" instead of handsome, wear makeup, have multiple piercings, etc.

Wow, i guess this is the last video of this series? nice to see amber doing something different. and no surprise that SM totally removed any hint that jessica was with them during that trip... Before you hate on me, HOLD ON. They attended NYFW for FASHION, they were in NY during this time for FASHION. They attended B&E’s party in their SoHo outlet, where I’m not wrong Jessica launched her F/W line? (probably wrong but whatever) They were wearing B&E while they were with her. Better yet, when they were on the yacht (with Jessica too)? THOSE SHADES WERE B&E. If i’m not wrong, Amber’s leather jacket in this video is also B&E. I could go on, honestly. But this just goes to show how much SM acts as that ex-lover who would do anything to make it seem like you never had a part in their lives whatsoever. They may not have shown Jessica in the video, but her products were. If that’s all we’re getting then so be it, I’m (very) mildly satisfied with that. But this is just low. Thanks SM for at least showing us teeny bits and also letting Amber out to have some fun every now and then.

SM can't let Jessica go on TV, it doesn't mean that they don't promote the brand. If I'm not mistaken, the only SM artists not wearing B&E are Girls' Generation members .I guess it's because Jessica was one of them before and they didn't want to cause any misunderstandings.

@kitty kat Amber filmed a movie, various collabs, a nature documentary, and other music videos to be released next year. She's barely had a day she wasn't working whether it was on her own projects or other activities.
