I think what made SNSD super successful in Japan is that they actually knew their target audience. It didn’t take to have a few Japanese members but ghey changed almost their branding in Japan; music, fashion, etc.

Jessica didn't exactly leave bonjourmarlene, she got kicked out of SNSD in September 2014, and she was removed from SM in August 2015. That's what happened to Sica.
