SNSD Japanese discographies are fucking lit, like this song for example, is so fun and bright without being overly cute or give "oppa protect me" vibe and just empowering everyone. I wish SNSD has one more Japanese album.

Probably because they weren't in a studio, with a director having them do it over and over until it was perfect. You can't do that with a crowd, so they probably had a chance to just enjoy it.

I don't get it??? I mean I'm a softball coach, and when I see a girl at a shopping mall, I have no idea if she would be a good player or not! But that is how Jessica was recruited! They saw her in a shopping mall. How'd they know that she could dance, sing and entertain at that level??? I mean she is exceptionally talented and spectacular!!!!

actually they recruited krystal who was just five at that time. the parents said that they would allow jessica first instead.

The real question is how many of the youth that have been scouted over the years never made it anywhere. I bet the number is exponentially larger than the ones who finally got to debut. Cast the net wide and take it from there.

@@loading2112 initially, the talent scout only approaches because of krystal who was only 5 but their parents insisted that they would only allow it if their older daughter jessica would be the one to try it first. so yes at the end, both were casted but the story remains it was krystal who was initially recruited.

well, the individuals they scout will undergo rigorous training (e.g. singing and dance coaching) to hone or at least bring out their talents.. :)
