People just need to realize that this MV was Girls' Generation's transformation from idols to artists. SM is finally letting them out of the idol shell because why? They deserve it. From the start, they've always dreamed of becoming artists and not to be named or called idols.You receive a lot of recognition for being an artist and in the international music industry, that is very hard to achieve, especially coming from an Asian country due to language barriers, etc. But, with the amount of success they've had since debut, you can only rightfully say that Girls' Generation is the most successful girl group or group in not only the K-POP industry but also outside. To have famous composers like The Underdogs to work with you for a main single, the one song representing the whole album? That is hard work and that hard work they've being doing for the past decade since before debut up 'til now, that hard work has paid off. Why do you think SM decided to have 5 different concepts for this MV? Why not just post one box one like they always do? Why spent so much money and time since November, filming a music video which will only lasts 4 minutes? Why? Because Girls' Generation deserves that. And SM Entertainment knows that. The amount of money they've brought to the company has quadrupled in the last decade or so and that's saying something for a company like SM, having already established in the industry. To earn more money than they've already had combined back before Girls' Generation debuted, that's insane. And now, they are no longer idols. They are artists. They are able to help with songs, directing the music videos, even staying up 'til 12am to discuss a smoother transition into the next track when they're having a concert the next day to make sure everything for their fans, for their company is splendid and worth that money you pay to see them. These girls or ladies, care for their fans and supporters. Why would they spend the extra time changing something at that late a night when they can just catch up on the amount of sleep they've missed. They go to the point where they don't even sleep for almost a week and they keep going. People need to remember that these ladies sacrifice so much time to make their fans feel better and to make them happy. Wanting to compose songs for their album, helping out with stage directions and music video concepts and plans. Why not just let the staff do it? Why not make them do it since it is their job? Do you think others who are labeled as 'artists' would put it the amount of extra work Girls' Generation does? No. They wouldn't give a fuck. They have their staff to do it, why not just let them do it? "I can just sit back and relax while watching all you little people doing all the work." Do you think Girls' Generation acts like that? This song in particular, which I don't understand the language, is now my favorite song, it's the coolest, hippest, has an awesome beat, is so danceable, and it has SUCH a happy beat that when I walk down the street listening to it I feel like breaking out into a dance! I read that there was a big Taeyeon Day celebration event in Korea, held by a union of biggest Taeyeon fan clubs wishing her a happy birthday in a theater room. Although Taeyeon herself couldn't attend the event due to her schedule, they managed to talk to her by phone. Fans went crazy when they first heard her voice. She also reportedly sang part of her first non-OST solo song "Set me free". They talked about what wish she made and some other stuff. She cried in the middle of conversation and fans were chanting "don't cry". She said she wished to be with them on her next birthday.
