Their vids are a bit more popular on the "sment" channel. honey day (beware, long rant) Nothing I'm about to say is trying to downplay other groups, I'm just saying why I think SNSD should have gotten a YTMA...so yes, I think SNSD should have gotten an award in the YTMA. You are right about SNSD having 3 vids with over 100 million views and the billion views plus they have one of the most watched and shared kpop comebacks of 2014. On the other hand, it's not just about numbers, it's also about growth. If it was just about numbers then Psy would have won and there wouldn't be so many "unknowns" who won. Looking at the other kpop winners 2ne1 and BigBang, I guess they did grow, they had hit singles and big concerts, but they didn't grow a ton on KZbin. I was thinking BB didn't have any comeback, but GD and Taeyang did have Good Boy. I feel like BB is growing more as individuals than together which makes it odd that they got an award for the 5 member group when only 2 of them promoted in Korea in 2014. If anything, the award should have just gone to Taeyang or GD and Taeyang. 2ne1's videos didn't get as many views which leads me to draw the conclusion that maybe YG payed KZbin to have his artists win. Now I completely make that up and I don't have proof for it, but it's not too far fetched in my opinion. Last YTMA were very different. It was a bunch of hugely successful videos/acts that were nominated and people voted for a few to win. This time, it's a bunch of relatively unknown artists that all won with no award show. And again people strongly disliked the show because it was a lot of commercial artists that won. The award show is all around odd. So again, with SNSD's success on KZbin this past year, I do think they should have won.

I think gee was the song that skyrocketed SNSD as superstars , it was a huge hit and the group become very popular. But by the boys era SNSD had already been established as a top girl group and (maybe even the ultimate best ) . Their each comeback was a hits and there popularity was increasing too. The Boys era seems to be the height off their careers , where a majority where looking forward to for there comebacks as they knew they are gonna deliver quality stuff. I personally am not an SNSD Stan . But I have mad respect for these ladies , they are really worked there ass off to be where they are. Its true the 2nd gen groups performance where on another level. The stage presence where was amazing. And yes their never will be a group like SNSD. They where the think you know . They had everything , the looks , the personality , the talent and the stage presence . And even if similar groups come up , SNSD will always be remembered to be the first who did it .
