I really need SM to come up with a boy group and girl group with this vibe, talking about real issues, that happen in real life and affect real people, without censorship and without fear to show blood and polemical stuff in the MV. Don't get me wrong, I love cool refined and handsome idols, I also like romantic and party songs, but like....there has been only this for so many years.... It would be amazing for fans to be able to receive the best of both types of artists from the same company they already love and are always checking up on.

They are already reunited in February 2018 through MBC Infinity Challenge program. MBC had uploaded their reunion videos on their channel. They also had concert for fans in Oct 2018 at Seoul Stadium Olympic and in September 2019 at Baseball Stadium. That were great concerts! They also had the dance practice videos. You can watch it on youtube. They also have their own official IG and channel on V TV. Have fun....

1세대 아이돌의 효시로 불리는 H.O.T.의 데뷔곡이 이런 스타일의 노래였다는 게 Kpop과 Jpop은 그 뿌리가 다르다는 아주 강력한 증거 자료라고 생각합니다. 요새 간혹 Kpop은 어차피 Jpop 카피라는 이상한 소리들을 하는 놈들이 저쪽 동네에서 나오던데, 그런 노래들이 없는 건 아니었지만 Kpop 주류는 이 시절부터 이미 흑인 음악의 영향을 훨씬 강하게 받았거든요. Jpop은 예나 지금이나 락의 영향이 더 강했고요. 당장 H.O.T. 이전 한국 대중음악의 흐름을 바꾼 그룹 겸 '본인들은 딱히 아이돌이 아니었지만 어쨌든 아이돌 그룹의 형태를 처음으로 제시'했다고 평가받는 서태지와 아이들도 락 베이스일 때보다는 힙합 요소를 많이 섞은 곡들이 더 히트쳤고, 그 시절엔 아직 한류고 나발이고 제대로 태어나지도 않았던 시대였는데, 무슨 한국 음악이 해외 시장 진출을 의식해서 미국 주류 음악을 모방하기 시작했다느니... 우린 이미 이 시절부터 흑인 음악 스타일이 강세였다 욘석들아.

저는 쟈니스 덕질도 해봤기 때문에 하시는 말씀에 더욱 공감이 갑니다. 일례로 쟈니스 단체콘서트에서는 선배들 곡 커버를 하는데 그 장르는 sm 단체콘서트에서 잘 커버되는 smp와는 곡조부터 전혀 다릅니다. 사회 비판곡도 한 번 본 적 없고요. 라이즈만 해도 H.O.T.의 전사의 후예를 레퍼런스로 한 사이렌이라는 곡으로 런칭을 했죠. 케이팝이 5세대가 됐다는 소리도 나오는 마당에 전사의 후예를 컨셉으로 한 곡이 다시 영향력을 끼치고 있다는 것도 신기하고, 그것이 다른 아시아 국가의 옛노래와는 더더욱 다르다는 것이 신기합니다. 앞으로도 이런 레거시가 계속되길 바라구요. 전사의 후예나 하여가 같은 노래가 케이팝의 원류라고 보는 입장에서 반가운 마음에 몇자 적었습니다.

@@Under105 사실 어떻게 보면 그 사회비판이라는 부분도 서태지와 아이들에서 스타트를 끊었다고도 볼 수 있는 것이, 서태지의 아이들 시절 앨범 중 가장 마니악했다(...)고 평가받은 타이틀 곡인 '교실 이데아'는 예나 지금이나 변함 없는 한국 교육 실태를 비판한 곡이었고, 다음 앨범에 수록되었던 '시대유감'은 아예 높으신 분들을 비꼬는 듯한 사회 비판 요소 때문에 방송 금지 크리를 먹었죠(...) 후일 결국 풀리긴 했지만... 그 외에도 사회 비판까진 아니라도 사회 문제를 짚어주는 곡들이 인기를 얻는 사례가 많았고요(컴백홈: 가출 청소년 문제, 발해를 꿈꾸며: 통일 등등) 여튼 저런 점 때문에 한국의 '아이돌'은 태초부터 사회 비판이나 젊은이들의 저항 정신 같은 것에 어느 정도 기반을 두고 출발한 면이 있다고 생각하고, 이게 또 일본의 쟈니스 계열과의 차별점이라고 생각합니다. 한국에서 남자 아이돌이 사회 비판적 노래를 내는 건 그리 크게 이상한 일로 여겨지지 않고 심지어는 그런 걸 아예 데뷔곡 내지는 타이틀곡으로 들고 나오기도 하지만(지금 떠오르는 예시로는 엑소의 MAMA가 있네요) 쟈니스가 그런 걸 내놓는다고 하면... 못할 건 없겠지만 아마 대부분 생소하게 여기지 않을까 싶습니다. 전통적으로 그런 성향이 아니었으니까요 + 쟈니스 덕질을 해보신 경험이 있으시군요! 저는 서태지 팬이었답니다 😅 다만 일본 노래도 제법 듣는 편에 속했는데, 그래서 저런 'Kpop은 Jpop의 카피' 운운하는 소리를 들을 때마다 전혀 공감도 안 되고, 이상했어요. 당장 Jpop은 제가 듣던 시절이나 지금이나 락의 영향을 훨씬 더 많이 받았고, 한국은 밴드 붐이 없던 건 아니지만 태동기부터 Kpop은 흑인 음악의 영향을 훨씬 많이 받아왔는데, 두 음악이 뿌리부터 다른데 한 쪽이 다른 쪽의 카피라니 이게 무슨 소리인가... 사업 구조 같은 건 확실히 초반에 쟈니스라던가 기존 일본 사무소의 형태를 차용한 면이 분명 있을 거라고 생각하지만, 음악적 스타일에 대해서는 정말 단 하나도 공감을 못하겠더라고요. 그래서 이거 뮤비 보러 온 김에 몇 자 끄적여 보았습니다...
