Dude, I agree. Maybe I'm just drifting from K/J pop but I really can't get into some of the newer groups from the last three years. They all sound the same and it's all the same choreography. Blackpink is really the only big group I enjoy and even then a lot of their music has fallen off. Some sad times.

U know that unfortunately this is not that true. They just found a vibe that match them, their ages and the people's aproval. In the start they were going to promote RED and VELVET songs, wich means velvet songs were the classical red velvet's ballads, but after their 1st velvet single "one of these nights" ended up with not that impact caused by the others concepts, they promoted a LOT of time in a really "RED" vibe, starting from Roussian Roulette and almost till Psycho they were sutck in some weird concept songs, in my opinion. I still love the girls and the songs and concepts at all, don't misunderstand me, but don't forget the concept idea of them. It's like when time passed, they put some ''DARK" in the concepts too xD

I just came back to watch this MV and it made me cry. The story about them finally escaping the shadow of their abuser and still sticking together as sisters really hit home. Even though they get caught they are still happy and hold hands like their signature style of them holding hands in a circle. The feeling of happiness while still having that under the surface feeling of doom and horror is what red velvet does best and they're so real for that. There is no other group quite like red velvet.

The mysterious atmosphere in the instrumental, the strings in the second verse adding drama to the song, the 80's synths in the bridge, all alongside their flawless vocals... I know a lot of people didn't get this song, but this is seriously one of their bests

Lol no. It’s just the fact that SM is known for having groups that are vocally strong, which isn’t a lie and there’s nothing wrong/ incorrect in mentioning that. Do other SM groups have the same vibe as RV? No. But like RV, do they do exceptionally well with vocals? Yes. And that’s what @miniya is pointing out; that of course RV is going to have strong vocals because majority of SM groups do. Basically applauding the company for valuing the importance of singing WELL. @bestest5346

omg fr… this is literally one of the most red velvet sounding songs and people hate it sadly :( it’s because they don’t get it. rv has been making quirky and weird music since debut and they still want them to make those repetitive basic commercial songs that are too easy to listen to. rv’s sound is MADE to be not easily digested by the public because of its special uniqueness and we love rv for that!! we should not let locals take rv’s originality away.

Red Velvet is always known for their duality concept. Red is their girly, happy, summer vibe (Red Flavor, Queendom, Zimzalabim) while their Velvet is the more mature and darker theme (Peek-A-Boo, Bad Boy, Psycho). But THIS, this one is finally the one where i can see their two concepts merging. This is probably their first Red Velvet song.

요즘 유행인 이지리스닝 계열의 뻔하지 않은 음악이라 신선하게 느껴지네요. 레드벨벳 노래는 유행을 그저 따라가거나 전작이 인기 끌었다고 재탕삼탕하지 않고 늘 새로운 시도로 질리지 않는 부분이 롱런하는 이유가 아닌가 싶네요.

이지리스닝으로 유행가가 될 수 없고 그렇다고 신선하지도 않고 늘 하던 뻔한 음악에 허접한 랩을 더한 노래라 전작에 이어 이번에도 잘 안 될 것 같습니다 노래 좋으면 그냥 좋다고 하지 이렇게 쓸데없이 말 안 길어지죠

I’ve been a red velvet fan for 5 years and this is the only group i REALLY respect for sticking to their beautiful art direction and distinctive music. In a way, red velvet is one of those groups with a cult following (joke totally intended haha) that is sooo well deserved. Red velvet is timeless. LONG LIVE RED VELVET!!!
