Making a song inspired by midsommar really fits Red Velvet. I mean Red Velvet‘s two most used concepts are literally horror and summer… So they combined these two elements and made a colourful summer song with a creepy backstory. 🌷🧝🏻‍♀️🖤 The music video is so well made! All of the sets where they filmed are absolutely beautiful and the dresses they wore in the mv are looking beyond gorgeous. There are so many colours and flowers in the music video! It’s giving fairy vibes! 💐 The song sounds awesome as well. I’m obsessed with every part of it. Red Velvet never dissapoints!

Red Vekvet were offered a U.S. deal in 2019 by Universal music and our girls turned it down, so they signed NCT instead. The western market is not important to our girls. They are quite content with being legends in their own country.

They'll probably struggle with the budget but I'd like to think that the composers that have continually proposed songs to them will still consider them (I hope) and the concept was Joy's brainchild anyway So with a few problems here and there I'd like to think they can still work it out (naively probably) Or at least leave SM as solo acts and try to negotiate being able to release as a group still (like bp)

Idk how to explain it but this type of fantastical and whimsical song with a chorus where the group sings like fairies is something that feels very much TXT and red velvet.
