As a Shawol of 13 years, I feel incredibly blessed that SHINee is still going strong. At every comeback they perform like it’s their debut stage, so fresh and full of energy. Considering that I’m now part of the more “mature” side of the kpop audience, it feels really nice to still have a group to stan that personally feels more age appropriate for me 😂

Agreed! I got into K-pop late last year but didn’t really settle in until I discovered SHINee and fell in love with their combination of maturity and freshness. Somehow they manage to pull off being mature while also being playful.

Only got into K-pop this year through stray kids and as much as I love them for getting me into the genre it was really Shinee where I found my home. Their music runs more along my tastes along with their maturity. So so appreciative of being able to find an older group to appreciate and love.

I love how their concepts literally never conform to whatever is in trend. SHINee are the true trendsetters. What an amazingly refreshing track I’m in shock.

This is just my opinion (obviously lol) but both ggs and bgs have two general concepts that seem to be in trend at the moment: for ggs, there’s a LOT of girlcrush (Can’t Stop Me - Twice, Ponzona - Purple Kiss, Blood Night - G-Reyish,) that generally focus on darker moods; the other is “fancy” concepts for ggs with ostentatious outfits and sets. For bgs, there’s a split between the bad boy concept (Bad Habits - Cravity, Moon Rider - BDC, Kick Back - WayV) and the retro concept (House Party - SuJu, We Do - SuperM, I Like You - Ciipher, Celebrate - Ateez). The Atlantis concept is very similar to Don’t Call Me as it doesn’t generally fit into the badboy concept or the retro. It stands really well on its own, outside of the box and the only concepts I can think of to compare it to would be Married to the Music, Catallena, and possibly Voodoo Doll (VIXX). Sorry for the essay lol

So true. I lost touch with them 2014-2015. A friend played a kpop playlist and the first on line was View. I stopped for a few secs, really listened to the voices and tune, and said, "Is this Shinee???" Everyone who stans them just knows 😂

Onew is such a freaking sunshine, his smiling face at the beginning just made my day. Taemin at 2:45....I can't breathe for real. Key's high note at 1:28 cutting through Minho's rap was so satisfying to listen to. Shinee are pumping out hits like it's nothing. And this choreo looks super difficult, I love how they never shy away from hard concepts to make the finished product the best it can possibly be. KINGS.
