I mean at this point, we can all agree that SM Entertainment artists are some of the most precise when it comes to vocal and rap talent. I mean they try to be perfectionists all the time, and that's what makes me love SM artists a lot. Not that other artists from other companies aren't perfectionists, it's just that SM takes it to an extreme. Even when you think it's perfect, or even when Kangta says it's perfect, the artists are always finding those extra details that we can't recognize and perfecting those. I mean, it's insane.

Mark getting told that it sounds better when a pro rapper does it and that he gets better with every run thru just shows that he is a staple in SM's rap line. I also love how he take initiative with what he wants his verse to sound like; his self directing shows that he has a true ear for music. I understand why SM uses him so much and put him as the main rapper in 4 different groups. He's truly so talented, SM's lucky to have such an hardworking and talented individual

Mark is so respected by the whole SM as a rapper, Kangta guided and directed most of the other artists but he gave him complete creative freedom over how he wants to rap. And even though Kangta already gave the ok Mark still wants to try again, he directs HIMSELF and they only stop when Mark is satisfied. “it’s sounds a lot better when a pro rapper does it, it’s better than the original”. I’m sooo proud of Mark and NCT 💚💚

The title song "Hope from KWANGYA" of "2021 Winter SMTOWN : SMCU EXPRESS" is produced by Kangta. This song was composed when KANGTA was 18 years old and won all the annual awards. 'hope' has been loved as H.O.T.&SM Town's representative song. This song is also a famous song that many large music festivals and celebrations like to sing. SMTOWN's first song "Jingle bell" was also produced by Kangta when he was only 20 years old.

@@rosie5816 hmm I don't know what the correlation between what I said and Mark directed by him and got called a pro rapper? is it because you think they recorded at similar times or..? the reason I said Kangta probably didn't direct jaemin at that time simply because when there's a feedback, they didn't show the director 'voice' when they could just insert kangta's voice if he's there, and they also didn't show they greet each other during the start or end of the recording. So yeah, it could still be him, but from the way it's edited, kangta is probably not there

it's amazing how much freedom and how little directing mark is given in recording sessions like this. it just shows that producers trust in his skills enough to let him do things his own way. it's always "do it how you want to do it" when it's him in the booth. and the fact that for this one particularly they let him record the same part as many times as he wanted as if the whole thing was his own recording session and he got everyone's time and attention all to himself??? so cool

Mark is such a king in the recording studio!! They always give him so much creative freedom, and he always blows them away with what he accomplishes through his own self-direction. Did you see how when Jaemin asked how to record a part, they just played Mark's version of it at 26:25? He's literally a textbook guide for SM!! What would SM do without him???
