I saw a video of Wendy when she was still in Canada and she was slaying before she even entered SM. If anything she kind of has to sing in a way that's worse for her voice in order to fit the more girly concept of girl group songs. But in general the average vocal talent coming out of SM tends to be way higher than any other company, although of course the others have their really good vocalists here and there.

i'm a fan and i can't agree . As long as Mamamoo will be here they will be the best vocal group out there in this generation .

Just listen to her here. She's not pushing her vocals hard at all. She's just singing and just the technique and phrasing is different from the others, who also sound amazing, but there's no denying Wendy's vocals are so versatile and agile. I'm always amazed at how good she sounds and how well she utilizes her vocals.

@@Lyf4rMusic I thought about it not too long ago but there are two spectrums in music that I only realized existed recently: A) the artists that molds themselves without help from others B) the artists that are perfectly moldable and are not limited to working with just one team to be themselves There are the artists who make everything themselves from the bottom up (produce, write, choreo and film their own work), and then there are artists (like RV) who can work with anyone and everyone but STILL always kill it regardless of who they work with, what style those different teams bring and what concept that team wants to sell... Basically they are the latter who can be anything but yet always deliver top quality work while always making it a point to include their personal signature touch. I don't take it lightly when I say I stan this artistic group.

Yeri is considered a weak vocal yet she has collab with many other artist and has her own solo song along with Irene and her collabs. :)
