Can I just say this song would help me get through my depression episodes. Jonghyun unknowingly played such a big role in my fight against my own depression but to see him only get consumed by his own, I wish I could've somehow helped this beautiful angel. I think everyone wishes they could've done more to save him from his inner turmoil but please don't blame yourselves Shawols, SHINee, his family and friends. Stay strong for our star as I bet he didn't want to hurt anyone. He loves us and we know it so lets all just pray for his peace. Also spread awarness about depression and its fatal affects. Jonghyun you did well♡

I wish I discovered Jonghyun sooner. I’ve only become aware of his existence after the news of his passing. This is my first and favourite song I have heard from him.Though all the colours used in this MV were bright, the saturation was also muted, like he was happy, but his happiness had been suppressed. He really -was- *is* a great artist. Though he may not be here on Earth anymore, he is in a special place within our hearts. Jonghyun is not truly dead until he is forgotten, but the sad truth is that one day he will be forgotten, all of us will, which is why, instead of mourning over his death and reliving this pain, we should just listen to his music and remember how great he was, and still is, how his music is so unique and how he thought outside the box. I wish I had discovered you sooner. *You did well, Jonghyun*

I didn’t discover his music or kpop in general until summer of 2019 but I had heard of his passing from a friend. Just because I wasn’t a fan of his until after his passing doesn’t mean I don’t miss him. You did well, Jonghyun.

I've discovered Kpop somewhere in the early 2010s, but I was more of a jpop girl, until I decided to give Kpop another chance in 2017. I knew shinee's Lucifer and I actually listened to Everybody a week before Jonghyun's passing. I remember thinking 'I have to get into Shinee when I have a little bit more time on my hands'. And then it happened. I feel like crap because I only started looking at Jonghyun's solo projects after his death. I wasn't here when he was still there, but I miss him too.

I too only discovered Shinee and Jonghyun after he was gone. I've been taking it slow on exposing myself to more and more of his music and videos because I so often choke up painfully when I hear and see them. He is the one to whom my eye was always drawn in Shinee's MVs and concert performances; when I researched online who he was...that's when I learned the horrible truth. He was already two years gone. Anyway, I look forward to slowly exploring Jonghyun's work over time and I hope the deep pain I feel now when I take in his performances will mellow into joy and appreciation of the fact that he was here and he was one of God's special ones.

Hyper Neptunia your right. We'll never see his laughing cheerful puppy fave again. But what we do know, is that he will be our talented, wise, amazing angel and he will still be in our hearts, with loving memories of him and his lovely songs. Somewhere in heaven, he is writing song lyrics for past idols and singing monkey magic while waiting for his other members to come and join in :) I think of it that way.

I’ve literally cried so much like, my mum thinks I’m crazy. no matter what fandom you are in, we shall all mourn today😫😭😭 it really makes me think about what other idols are going through. It hurts so much just to think about how someone could be getting depressed by someone else’s insensitive words yet no one does anything. Mental illness is serious, something that is shrugged off way to often. For those who do suffer, know that you are not alone. Know that there is always help and it’s alright to speak up. Rest in peace, Jonghyun. Jonghyun left and amazing legacy in the kpop world and was an amazing person. My prayers go out to his family, and his friends. I also think that this should be a lesson for everyone. Remember, we're all humans, and we all have feelings. The smallest thing you say, could leave a large impact. Anyone's demons can strike out at anyone at any time, taking their life. Everyone should be aware of this, and we should all stop leaving hurtful comments for our idols or insulting them harshly. We shouldn't be doing this to anyone, in fact, and as said before, we never know how much our words could impact someone. So please, before you leave a mean comment or insult someone directly, just think of the negative impact you could leave on them. You never know, your words could be, the reason for them to finally, give in to their demons.
