taeyeon is more comfortable singing solo than duet i think since solo doesn't need her to do all the eye contact thingy.or MAYBE she's uncomfortable with the person she's singing with.i'm not a locksmith,but lost in love is one of the best ballad taeyeon has ever sung.she was great during live,and tiffany's too.and most importantly,they both were comfortable.

I guess people are having a big fuss here about Taeyeon not giving jonghyun a single glance. Well frankly speaking, it's part of the concept were the boy is chasing the girl while the girl is having two thoughts about ditching him or giving him a second chance and the boy represents Jonghyun while the girl represents Taeyeon since this is a break up song. So it's part of their concept.

Both are amazing singers. Their vocal abilities are awesome but I have never seen a duet with as little chemistry as them. It was obvious even from just listening to the song alone. Taeyeon did not look at jong hyun even once throughout the song. In fact I felt bad for him seeing him keep trying to catch taeyeon's eyes so they can harmonise properly

If you are saying that Taeyeon is a better singer than Jonghyun, that's absurd and you're being biased. Jonghyun's singing skills are nothing compared to Taeyeon's.They're both great and you shouldn't compare them. And by way, for those who are all butt hurt about Taeyeon not making eye with Jonghyun, it's a habit of hers, don't be so hard on her. She's probably just used to singing Solo.

taeyeon is focusing in her skills to sing the song that's why the emotions only lingers around themselves, not by together.

people saying that jonghyun is a far better singer than taeyeon, although it is entirely subjective, I think that jonghyun's emotion and skill were shown more clearly in this performance as he was tending project his voice and use less of a head voice which lent its self to showing a more clear emotional performance, whereas taeyeon used more of a soft head voice for a lot of this and generally gave more of a subdued performance in order to convey the emotions more subtly, however because of this taeyeon was tending to be over shadowed because you could hear jonghyun and the inflections in his voice clearer and louder due to the way he was singing. In my opinion they really should have decided to both should have both subdued or louder as that way no one is over shadowed. In my opinion although jonghyun is a great singer, taeyeon has overall more skill and control over her voice, it was just not conveyed properly during this performance, just listen to her in other stuff and perhaps you'll see what i'm trying to say!

Jonghyun completely outclasses Taeyeon when it comes to singing. I do give Taeyeon props for this performance as it was one of her best. However, I do feel like because she was trying so hard to not get destroyed by Jonghyun's beast vocal skills, she completely ignored the interaction he was trying to set with her...

There both good in terms of singing no question about that....but somehow there more focused on the way they sing the song and they kind forgot how to experience the emotion of the song and to interact with each other.....This is a duet song/performance not individual performance.......But it became and individual performance bec Taeyeon was just standing there.......Not looking at Jonghyun at least Jonghyun made and effort to interact with Taeyeon........

A ballad needs to have a certain feeling to it that needs to be portray by the singers. Other wise is just another song. Yessss....they have a beautiful voices but let's remember its a ballad that lacked feeling :(

It's so irritating to read some reviews that criticize Jjong and praise Taeyeon. I am shawol and sone, but not blinded me, Jjong is considered one of the best singers in korea, and Taeyeon singing is good, the chemistry between them was not evident in this performance, but you might check out the stages of his comeback.

comon u guy! i know that taeyeon have sing this song beautifully and i really love her voice but eye-contact is something must be done in a duet performance.I know that she was having a earpeice accident but before that she still not making eye contact with him. i respect the fact that taeyeon had try hard to bring soul for this perf but making eye contact is really important not only for the fan but even for the partner that she work with! you can see that jonghyun was really trying hard to make eye contact with taeyeon ( eventhough he look kinna funny), do you ever thing why jonghyun have to make eye contact with taeyeon? It's because eye conatct make the song full of inspiration to transfer for the veiwer, the listener! I know that this not a big deal but saying that making eye contact is not important was completely wrong. i appreciate the effort that both of them have brought for us but missing the eye contact was something really lacking in this perf

So I see i'm not the only one who noticed the lack of eye contact between the two. lol I kind of wished Taeyeon's eyes met up with Jonghyun's at least once during the performance to give it a more "special" feel. But nonetheless, their voices fit so well with the song and they sounded absolutely amazing
