샤이니 최고의 명곡. KPOP 보이그룹 역대 TOP10에 확실히 들어갈 작품. 크게 성공했지만 컨텐츠 퀄리티를 생각하면 그조차 과소평가라 할 수 밖에 없는 그룹/곡.

당시 1억 넘게 주고 사온 안무. SM 최고로 비싼 안무라고 했었음. SM 진짜 일하는 거 별로지만 항상 샤이니한테 음악, 안무는 최고의 퀄리티로 주는 듯. 물론 멤버들이 그걸 소화할 수 있는 능력이 되는 그룹이라 가능한거겠지만.

When this song came out, of course I liked it, and found the choreo to be fascinating. What I didn’t foresee is how exquisite and timeless this song would feel in the future. This is peak k-pop.

most people in the general public unfortunately didn't really like this song. I think Jonghyun has even alluded to that once, how Sherlock kinda tanked on the charts. Luckily though, it did become iconic due to their style and the choreography, paired with their amazing live performances of Sherlock.

Dear Jonghyun, I am still crying over the news of you leaving us way too soon before your time. My spirit is crushed and my heart is broken. This is my very favorite of SHINee's songs and you just shine here. You brought such light and life to this world and all the time you were suffering. I just can't stop crying. You were beautiful, you gave us your all and held nothing back. We loved your sense of humor, your compassion, your talent. You were not defined by the title "idol" because you were so much MORE than that. Who you were as a person, we still loved you. Idol or not. That's just how we got to know you. May God rest your soul and may you have found the peace you were looking for. I'm so sorry you had to suffer so much but I pray that you are not suffering anymore. 내 나이 거의 서른이 다 되었을 때 이 노래 무대를 보고도 완성도에 충격을 받았는데, 다시금 이만큼의 충격을 줄 노래가 나올까싶다(부디 나왔으면 좋겠다..) 이후로 국위선양하는 많은 아이돌 그룹이 나왔지만, 그냥 한 명의 리스너, 시청자의 입장으로 나에게 이 정도의 충격은 아직까지 없다.

진짜..2025년 지금들어도 모든게완벽했던 명곡..셜록 안무 처음봤을때 충격만큼 충격을 준 안무를 아직 못 본것같음 720p가 최대고화질이라는게 진짜 눈물이다.. 4k로 다시나와야하는데...

I think this is my favorite kpop dance routine, because they really make use of the fact that there are FIVE DANCERS, instead of just doing the same dance moves in sync, which is impressive too of course, but I like to see a group really working together and I feel like they do that here... go shinee!

oh lol i was just writing like the exact same comment lol. glad i read yours first, and i obviously totally agree. I think kpop does a really good job of that generally, but shinee is especially good at that kind of complex choreography.

SHINee has that synergy when they perform together which makes them extra special. I’ve never seen a better chemistry in a group.

SM이 남돌에서 뽑아낼수 있는 최대치를 보여준 곡. 이때부터 샤이니가 실력파 아이돌로 확실하게 자리 잡기 시작했지. 이전에 루시퍼-링딩동으로 이어지면서 남자들에겐 다소 놀림 받는 그룹이었는데 셜록은 남자들도 인정안할 수 없었음. 아마 View 와 함께 남자들도 좋아하는 샤이니 곡 중 한곡이지 싶음.

I absolutely love how every transition in this dance flows so well, you don't even realize that they changed positions at some points! It's a pet peeve of mine to see group members simply walk into position when transitioning to another part of the dance(ik it's necessary, especially for groups with more members, but still), so that's a breath of fresh air! Sherlock has one of, if not the best, choreographies in kpop for sure.
