This is my take on the MV: The white rose is a symbol of purity and innocence. So, keeping this in mind, at 0:16, he is dropping the white flower as in he is giving up on his innocence. Then, he "robs" the shop. Then when they are in the palace you can see the blue rose which means that the scene is actually imaginary as a blue rose symbolizes the impossible, or the unattainable. And we see him giving the rose to the 'girl', a receiver of a blue flower is someone with a complex personality who isn't easy to interpret. Then, we see him ditching his friends. At 3:02 we see him picking up the blue flower and immediately dropping it and once again at 3:15, he receives blue flowers, so basically he is almost fighting with himself. From 3:18 to 3:20, we can see the struggle between the innocent side and immoral side, the girl represents the innocent side. And the 'innocent side' is almost being held captive by himself i.e, the evil side of him has conquered the good side. The scene with him in the car in abandoned area, I think signifies guilt for leaving his friends or smth like that. Towards the end we can almost see the feeling of 'gosh, what've I done' in him. At 4:16, I think he sets the 'evil' side of him on fire metaphorically, I guess. So, yeah.

I am seriously loving the art direction SM has been taking their artists these days. I believe SHINee - "VIew" was the first sign of the change, and then f(x) - 4 Walls solidified the new direction.
