The fact that TVXQ isn’t called “Kings of kpop” baffles me. Reading their achievements and how they internationally paved the way and so many kpop fans don’t realize that, is truly sad. Pls, let’s give the title and credit where it’s due. Edit: a lot of your are telling me that they are indeed the kings/gods, but keep in mind that the majority of the kpop community only considers BigBang as the kings and the ones to break internationally when that’s not true. Sadly, TVXQ don’t have that title from kpop fans but rather the media and their fans. Kpop fans only give that title to BigBang.

Mirotic album turns 12 years old today. It's also the last Korean album of TVXQ as 5. Yoochun, Jaejoong & Yunho were 22. Junsu was 21 (he turned 22 in December 2008). Changmin was 20. Time sure flies so fast. Changmin is getting married soon. I feel so old. Happy 12 years, Mirotic! (released in September 26, 2008)

the fact that a lot of the newer K-Pop fans have never heard (of) this song or heard of this group as 5 or seen the MV is just...kinda really upsetting to me. This (along with Super Junior's Mr Simple and SNSD's Gee) was one of the videos that initially got me into K-Pop 4 (almost 5!) years ago. It's such an important relic of the so-called "golden days" of K-Pop, when the Hallyu Wave was first washing over the world. I hope it spreads among the new fans eventually. On a totally different note, I just realized that the move Yunho does with his arm at 2:28 - 2:30 is really similar to what a lot of girl groups do nowadays in their choreo XD Am I the only one who sees that?

So, I wonder how many other DBSK fans are here that are over 21 and have been a fan since BEFORE they broke up?? I hate all these new super young fans and how they act like their groups are superior. These men in DBSK are legends and paved the way for international fame of kpop. Without this group, most of these new groups with all of these weird names wouldn't even exist. There wouldn't be a market for them. I miss the days where DBSK, Super Junior, early Big Bang, and even Shinhwa were the main ones on top. Kpop was so much cooler back then. Of course I still support TVXQ and JYJ now though :)

And even though Shinhwa is a little older, DBSK is the first South Korean group to really be SUPER successful in Japan and tour there. Ever since, now other groups like Big Bang, SHINee, and Super Junior, among others, have been able to do it too.

That's why whenever we run into new kpop fans looking for recommendations we should always mention these groups to them as well! I find (the ones looking to be multi-fandom anyways) are usually open to them. Or we can also recommend channels or videos that feature a lot of older groups. I always recommend DareDB's channel to folks & K-ville put out a video focusing on 2009 last week that is perfect for new fans looking to branch out.
