She started sooo early so honestly most of us who have known her for ages before stanning Kpop sometimes need to remind ourselves she's a 1986er 😂 And yes Kpop is an age-obsessed industry so anything above 25 is apparently old 🙄 you see that on SJ & TVXQ! & SNSD & all the Gen 2 which should technically look young too cause they're only in their late twenties - early thirties but people make such a big deal about them "not looking old". They look more mature & less of the high-school-teens feeling but not even close to old. Though Dara does still have the teenage bright vibe on her face while she's even older than most Gen 2 so that's really another thing 🥺

She's their senior though technically so it's awkward. In the industry even though someone is younger than you but they debuted earlier you still call them sunbaenim. Na Haeun is only like 11 years old but some idol groups call her sunbaenim 😂😂

Its an Asian thing - as long as they stay in reasonably good shape and don't spend a huge amount of time out in the sun, most Asian women really don't start to show their age until they get close to 50. You'd be surprised at how many of those "hot little babes" you see aren't the 16 or so that you think they are ... they can be well into their 30's. As much as I'm not a fan of old guys who marry "little girls", when you have a couple in your social circles where the guy looks to be 20 or 30 years older than her ... it really pays before you think something less than respectful to make sure there really is an age gap. I caught a bit of crap about that regarding me and my Asian wife early in our marriage as folks made that sort of assumption ... and she's 3 months older than I am.
