Ive known BoA simnce year 2000 and i didnt even need KZbin to show me how amazing she is. The only ones who dont know her well are new kpop fans who think Kpop is BTS, EXO, TWICE and BLACKPINK (no offense i love them both but there are more talents and legends that kpop fans should be aware of and understand why they shaped up the community for ones like BTS, TWICE, EXO and BLACKPINK to stand out)

A lot of you reference her as the "Queen of K-Pop" but in Korea they call her the "Goddess of K-Pop". BoA is on a whole different level!! This MV was amazing , it brings me back to her Hurricane Venus days but just with a more mature and modern look. Everyone share this video and BUY the album. BoA deserves our support. 와 이번노래 1위 아니면 이상할 정도로 대박곡인데요? 이제 보아가 자기 스타일 찾은것처럼 찰떡임 부디 무대에서도 뮤비에 나온 모자들이랑 의상 다 입어줬음 좋겠음 음방보면 무대에서는 춤출때 잘보이는옷 위주로 입는것같은데 보아 여신님 예쁘고 멋있는 의상입는것도 보고싶음 특히 중절모랑 접시같이 긴 모자(패션무식자) 좋음!보아 대박!

All I mean is that pop music tends to come and go in waves. High Energy versus Low Energy. For a while there music was heavily influenced by EDM and now it’s becoming more simple in production -laid back if you will, with lots of “space” in the mixes. I enjoy that BoA has been releasing singles that are filled with energy and lots of background vocals and music. It’s a personal taste and I’m in no way saying simplistic pop is bad at all! Pop Music, by nature, is designed to be simple and hooky -it captures everyday language and that’s how we can relate to it. I, personally, love upbeat dance pop music and this was a good change to what’s popular right now. :)

I love her so much. She's been in the industry for so long and is still kicking so hard. She's that improbability: a solo female singer in a sea of bands that is feminine but has powerful choreography with male backdancers (there are women in this MV too, but from what I've noticed, her main crew is composed of guys) that are not used as romantic or sexual objects and with hella powerful songs that she nails when she performs live. What's not to love about BoA? On a sidenote I'm pretty sure I saw some of those white/caucasian/European/American girls in TVXQ's "Something" MV and now I just wonder: what's their job exactly? Pretty models?

And usually if the girl is cute and shy or a girlfriend, she's Asian/Korean whereas if she's sexy, bad or not a serious relationship (one night stand for example), then she's usually Caucasian. Of course, that is if we stay in the male singer and boyband spectrum, although girlbands tend to try to be sexy and cute at the same time, all the time.

@@hopedean6424 I know I've seen plenty of them in SM artists' MVs. TVXQ used them in Something and in their Tokyo Dome Secret Code Tour intro (although they didn't in Spellbound, but then again the song is a love song if I'm not mistaken), SHINee has them in View and I think there's one in Super Junior's Devil. I don't think it's necessarily conscious more that the industries don't want to depict a "bad" image of what a Korean girl should be by society standards. It might not be a widespread thing either, but I've seen too frequently recently to think it's just a coincidence.

BoA is the queen of choreography... I’ve yet to see a female dancer be so good at doing complex choreography as a soloist (except maybe hyoyeon). The amount of body control she has to do that upside down walking move is amazing. It’s a shame new kpop fans don’t know this queen! The original queen of kpop and jpop.

I've been a kpop fan since 2018, but I know talent when I see it. This woman is incredible, since she was a little girl she has been so hard-working. She worked hard since she was a trainee, and she never gave up, despite the pressure. She was the first trainee and the company practically depended on her. She learned Japanese by going to live with a family in Japan as a preteen, learned English, learned to sing and dance, and trained hard. She said that if you woke her up at night and played her a song that she practiced anywhere, she would be able to follow it. It is an example of effort and an inspiration, at least for me. I am Spaniard and my dream is to be an idol. I am practicing and learning Korean while striving to lose weight. I am already 18 years old and sometimes I think about giving up, but after discovering her story I have decided that no, that she will be my inspiration.
