This was released at the same time with Lion Heart and at the time, more attention was drawn to L.H than this one. Also maybe because before this was released, a lot of people came across the demo of this song in English so maybe it's less anticipated than how it should be.

Totally agree it was kinda weird to listen too but it's the best part in the whole music video. No one complained when her lines were cut during itnw days and in pretty much every song before mr mr, but now that yoona has no solo lines everyone is in uproar that Sooyoung got a rap part and yoona has no lines. It's not like it would have sounded any better since yoona's voice is high pitched too. Can't we just enjoy the dancing and how nice they look if not the song?

Sooyoung did her rap part similar to Saara's part in the "You Think", demo, which I think she did a good job. The more I listen to her rap part, it isn't weird or cringeworthy as people make it out to be. I think some don't like her rap part because they are either not used to the high voice rap or they prefer lower toned rap. I love Hyoyeon and Sooyoung rapping in this.

On a Sunshiner's perspective.. This track is absolutely Sunny's vocal showcase. She's on her most comfortable singing range on this one, Yes I know for a fact she can also hit those highs but for years listening to Sunny I believe she's at her best with this singing range (low pitched). Now, this is a SLAP to those who're saying that Sunny can't sing and sings only on a cutesy tone/voice.

rini bee I think it was one part in Genie. I've always had the feeling that SM made Sunny change her timbre to fit the "Sunny Bunny" image, but her real voice comes out in Into the New World and Genie. So this song is a breath of fresh air.

Yoona gets like almost half the screen time in most Snsd videos and is in the center almost half the time too.First time SM gives her solo shots that aren't long all the yoonaddicts are complaining.When the dance line got so many lines in CMIYC everyone was so happy for them but when SM decided to give seohyun and sunny some recognition all the yoonaddicts can only complain.Yoona is still the visual she will still be in front but don't go crazy when other girls like sunny finally gets lots of screen time instead of yoona and then have the audacity to complain about yoona having no lines.

that's not the problem , yoonaadicts overalls didn't complain about the screen time but yoona doesn't have any solo lines and that's a bit dissapointing and that's the reason and TTS always get more screen time if you know it than the other member . it's good that sunny getting screen time more besides Yuri and other dance line didn't have enough screen time

It means they do plays their roles successfully. i rarely complaint when theres like members who doesnt get enough line coz they get enough as for their roles. But I start to understand to, Hyoyeon probably isnt strong visually and that makes her get the least screen time. It also make sense why some meber gets all screen time while other just appear a few times. As I remember watching this group giving each member an rven screen time, and nobody seem to get the spot light or new fans seem confused on who should the focus be.

The only one who has a legitimate complaint for lack of lines is Sunny. She's a lead vocalist, there is no reason to not give her lines. The dance line is supposed to get the spotlight for the technically difficult dances (ones that the rest can't do) but those are rare with this group, so they have a legitimate complaint there.

First time to hear this song and see this MV and wtf, I am a YG stan but seriously, SM has the best vocalists probably in Kpop. RVs vocalists are impressive but SNSD vocalists are on another level. Kpop Queens and Vocal Queens 🙊🙊🙊

You've been missing the party :P Taeyeon is probably the best in the world. Take the wayback machine and check out some of their stuff from when they were a 9 member group. 5 really strong vocalists from that era.
